Class Overview
On Campus Classes
We offer a quality gymnastics/motor development program in Southern California that comes directly to your school once a week. Our sessions include: tumbling, vault, balance beam, bars, and a wide variety of motor development skills. At the moment our schedule is full and we will not be adding new schools at this time.
Age Appropriate Expectations
3 Years Old
Most 3-year-olds are learning how their bodies and needs are separate from their parents. Their movements will be less precise, but they can walk a line, hop one foot to the other, and walk backward. We focus on balance transfers for their whole bodies, and directional awareness such as side to side, forward, backward, up, down, bendy, and straight at this age
4 Years Old
Our goal with our students around this age is to develop their spatial awareness. We work on putting directional movements together and for sustained periods with activities like standing on one foot, or with support on hands, and practicing counting or singing or other fun ways to hold that position, as well as moving from feet to hands and how to fall safely. With safe instruction, this age can work up to somersaults, running drills, stick-it landings, and other traditional gymnastic skills.
5 Years Old
Skipping, jumping, swinging, and more! This age group is developing confidence in their autonomy and movements as well as using their imaginations to make it all more interesting. We work on forward and backward movements on tippy toes or with hands, and in varying directions. We will introduce more advanced skills at this age, but emphasize the need for more space to safely work with.
Our favorite combination is a sideways movement where we reach hands to the floor while inverting our bodies and rotating… when legs travel over the body and return to the other side with the athlete landing upright… We in the business call that a cartwheel!
Your First Day
When you enroll in our class you will receive a packet of information in your child’s folder. It will let you know how your child did on their first day as well as give you information on how and where to make a payment.
